Mongolian judoists receive five medals in judo grand prix

Mongolian Judoists have won five medals on the first day of the Judo Grand Prix held in Dusseldorf, Germany.
This stage of the competition was held over two days and 550 judoists from 86 countries competed. The Mongolian team was lead by coach O.Baljinnyam.
Silver medals went to G.Boldbaatar in the 60kg weight class, Kh.Tsagaanbaatar in the 66kg weight class and S.Nyam-Ochir in the 73kg weight class.

S.Nyam-Ochir wins gold medal at 5th Judo Open

Four Mongolian judoists won medals at the 5th Judo Open held in Paris, France.
S.Nyam-Ochir won the gold medal in the men’s 73kg weight class on February 5th with his impressive win over an opponent from Germany in the finals.
M.Bundmaa received a silver medal in the women’s 52 kg weight class. State Honored Sportsman and Labor Hero of Mongolia Kh.Tsagaanbaatar received bronze medal in the men’s 66kg weight class and M.Urantsetseg won a bronze medal in the women’s 48kg weight class.

S.Miyaragchaa: Now my dream is to participate in the London-2012 Olympic Games

Mongolian judoists competed at The World Master-2012, initiated by the International Judo Wrestling Association on January 14 to15 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Mongolian judoist, S.Miyaragchaa, won in 66kg weight class at the competition.
He is now a two-time Championship of World Masters-2012.
Recently, he was interviewed by “National Post” newspaper.
Below is the translation.
Q: Congratulations on your victory. How did you feel when you were standing on the medal platform?
A: Thank you very much. I’m really satisfied with my success. An athlete’s happiest moment in life is reaching their goals, receiving gold medal and hearing the national anthem.
Q: You wrestled with a French wrestler in the first round that you hadn’t wrestled before. You were able to beat your opponent. Had you observed him before?
A: I saw him wrestle at the Grand Prix which was held in Tokyo, Japan. Also, I once trained with him for three days and intentionally chose him as an opponent. During preparation I rarely observed him, relying mostly on my notes from training with him before. During the match, he attacked me aggressively for the first three minutes. He quickly tired and I was able to beat him.

Mongolian judoists win three consecutive years at World-Masters Competition

12 Mongolian judiosts competed at The World Masters-2012, initiated by the International Judo Wrestling Association on January 14 to 15 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
16 of the best from around the world and from each weight class in this competition annually.
Mongolian judoists have had success in this tournament before, winning two gold medals at the past two competitions.
This year’s World Master-2012 Mongolian judoist, S.Miyaragchaa, won in 66kg weight class at the competition.
He wrestled against Labor Hero of Mongolia and State Honored Sportsman judoist Kh.Tsagaanbaatar in the final.
In 2010, S. Miyaragchaa also won the World Master Competition in the 66 kg category in Suwon, South Korea.

I finally reached my master degree

In recognition of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic service in Mongolia the International Chess Tournament, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Mongolian Chess Federation, and the Mongolian Forum of the World under the name of Chin Van M.Khanddorj was held from December 5 to 11.
Over 120 chess-players from Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China participated in this year’s tournament.
International master and Mongolian chess-player Ts.Batchuluun won the tournament.
He was interviewed by Capital Times newspaper. Below is the translation.

Q:  Congratulations on your master degree. Here’s to your success.
A: Thank you very much. I am really satisfied that I reached my goal this year. I’m very happy. Now that I’ve reached my master degree, I’m waiting on the world’s chess conference. I had chance to win master degree in 2007 but I couldn’t received my master degree. All of the participants were very strong and they have all reached in the master degree.
